Teti

Teti is a municipality in the Province of Nuoro with about 690 inhabitants, 714 metres above sea level.

Teti is a Barbagia di Ollolai village at over seven hundred metres above Lake Cucchinadorza, in an area of great archaeological interest. The most important site is the nuragic sanctuary of Abini, where many of the most famous nuragic bronze figurines were found, now in the Cagliari museum; nearby are the nuragic villages of S'Urbale and Su Ballu and the giants' tombs of Azzadolai and Perdalonga. The district Archaeological Museum in the village reconstructs a nuragic hut and displays finds from Barbagia and the Mandrolisai. The parish church of San Sebastiano dominates the village. Carnival ends on Ash Wednesday with the symbolic killing of a dummy.
