Tadasuni

Tadasuni is a municipality in the Province of Oristano with about 184 inhabitants, 180 metres above sea level.

Tadasuni is a small Guilcier village on the shores of Lake Omodeo, beneath whose waters lies ancient Boele, a Roman settlement; it was a hamlet of Ghilarza until 1958. The village is known for its Museum of Sardinian Folk Music Instruments, born from the collection of a local priest, with launeddas, drums, cowbells and dozens of other traditional instruments. The old centre has winding streets with stone houses and the neoclassical parish church of San Nicola di Bari in dark basalt. The area holds the Sas Perderai rock-cut tombs and the Su Pranu nuraghe on the edge of the plateau above the Tirso valley. In mid-January a big bonfire in the square celebrates Sant'Antonio.
