Bidonì is a small Barigadu village on the shores of Lake Omodeo, founded in late antiquity in a strategic spot guarding the routes inland. In the Middle Ages it belonged to the Giudicato of Arborea.
Its most precious monument is the Romanesque church of San Pietro near the cemetery, built in the early 12th century and entrusted by Judge Costantino I to the abbey of Bonarcado. On nearby Monte Onnariu a Roman rock altar to Jupiter has been found. The most heartfelt feast is Santa Maria di Ossolo on 8 September, when the pilgrims' lodgings around the chapel fill up.
