Sedini

Sedini is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Sassari with about 1,378 inhabitants, 306 metres above sea level.

Sedini is an Anglona village at three hundred metres, built on a limestone plateau full of cavities and rock-cut tombs, many of them absorbed into the houses. Its most evocative monument is the Domus de Janas, also called the Fairy House, a large limestone boulder on the main street carved out in pre-nuragic times, later used as a dwelling and now home to a small ethnographic museum. The village has the Gothic-Aragonese parish church of Sant'Andrea, built between 1517 and 1527, and the 17th-century church of Nostra Signora del Rosario. Nearby are several nuraghi and the Coghinas valley. San Pancrazio is celebrated at the country church on the second Sunday of May.
