Nurri

Nurri is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari with about 2,233 inhabitants, 590 metres above sea level.

Nurri is a Sarcidano village at almost six hundred metres overlooking Lake Flumendosa and close to Lake Mulargia, two large reservoirs among the hills. The Roman settlement of Biora stood in its territory on the Cagliari-Olbia road, and there are many nuraghi. In the village are the 16th-century Gothic parish church of San Michele and the church of Santa Rosa with an old Franciscan convent. The lakes offer walks, fishing and water sports.
