Costa Verde and Marmilla

Towering dunes by the sea, a UNESCO-listed nuraghe and a plateau of wild horses.

On the west coast, the Costa Verde alternates cliffs and huge dunes: at Piscinas the sand rises like a desert.

Inland, the gentle Marmilla hills hide Su Nuraxi of Barumini, Sardinia's most famous Nuragic village and a UNESCO site, and the Giara plateau, home to wild horses.
