Nureci is a small Alta Marmilla village on the edge of the Giara, founded in the Middle Ages in an area already inhabited in nuragic times and chosen by the Carthaginians in the 5th century BC for a military post at S'Ollastu. The area has many nuraghi and a few rock-cut tombs, and the main feast is the Madonna d'Itria on the Tuesday after Pentecost, with a procession and folk events.
