Nuraminis is a Campidano village with the hamlet of Villagreca, Roman in origin and in the Middle Ages the capital of a district of the Giudicato of Cagliari, disputed with Arborea for its border position and fertile soil. Its territory holds a large nuragic village defended by four nuraghi, below a hill with a well temple that served as both shrine and water store. The old centre keeps Campidano mud-brick houses on stone bases with elegant gateways, and in August the Sant'Isidoro feast still has the character of a harvest blessing.
