Montresta is a small Planargia village at over four hundred metres among the woods above Bosa, with an unusual history: it was founded in 1746 by Greek settlers from the Morea, in the Peloponnese, invited by the House of Savoy to repopulate the area. Relations with the neighbours were difficult and many Greeks left, but the memory of the founding remains. The monument tied to the village's origins is the 18th-century church of San Cristoforo. The area has the Sa Serra rock-cut tombs and a few nuraghi, and San Cristoforo is celebrated twice, on 28 April and 28 September.
