Magomadas

Magomadas is a municipality in the Province of Oristano with about 643 inhabitants, 263 metres above sea level.

Magomadas is a small Planargia village on a hill a few kilometres from the sea and Bosa, of Punic origin. Its hills are covered in vineyards of Malvasia di Bosa, of which it is one of the main production areas. The old centre keeps bare-stone houses and the 17th-century late-Gothic parish church of San Giovanni Battista. The area has several nuraghi and the Puttu sacred well, and by the sea stands the little church of Santa Maria del Mare, scene of the main feast on 15 August.
