Tinnura

Tinnura is a municipality in the Province of Oristano with about 268 inhabitants, 328 metres above sea level.

Tinnura is one of the smallest villages in the Planargia, between Suni and Flussio, medieval in origin in the Giudicato of Torres. In recent decades it has become a small museum village, with murals telling of peasant life and trachyte sculptures along the streets and in the square. The area has several nuraghi and the Tres Bias nuragic complex, with a multi-towered nuraghe and a giants' tomb. The village has the 17th-century parish church of Sant'Anna. Like Flussio, Tinnura has a tradition of baskets woven from asphodel.
