Loceri is a small Ogliastra village at almost two hundred metres between Lanusei and Bari Sardo, of early medieval origin. The parish church of San Pietro was built in the early 18th century after the older church of San Tommaso was destroyed when the stream through the village flooded. The area has about ten nuraghi, and the patron's feast on 29 June has a rich folk programme that draws people from nearby villages.
