Gonnoscodina is a small Marmilla village of Roman origin that belonged to the Giudicato of Arborea in the Middle Ages. Its territory keeps a three-arched Roman bridge built partly with stone from older buildings, along with several nuraghi. The old centre has late 19th-century houses with very elegant stone doorways and the parish church of San Sebastiano, rebuilt from 1839. The patron's feast on 20 January opens Carnival, with masks and dancing in the square.
