Genuri is one of the smallest Marmilla villages, at the foot of the Giara, founded in the Middle Ages in the Giudicato of Arborea. Its territory includes Nuraghe Santu Marcu, an imposing four-lobed fortress. In the village are the 16th-century Gothic-Aragonese parish church of Santa Maria di Monserrato and the 15th-century church of San Dorino, the first parish church, where the main feast is held on 6 August. Genuri is known for its almond sweets, gattou and amarettus, and for pani 'e saba, grape-must bread.
