Cheremule is a small Logudoro village at 540 metres at the foot of Monte Cuccuruddu, an ancient volcano. Its old centre has narrow streets with multi-storey stone houses around the 16th-century Gothic-Aragonese parish church of San Gabriele Arcangelo. The area is rich in rock-cut tombs: in the Tomba Branca the walls bear graffiti of human figures and stylised birds. In mid-June the village celebrates Sant'Antonio da Padova and San Sebastiano.
