Vallermosa is a Campidano village at the foot of the Sulcis and Linas mountains, between Siliqua and Villacidro, inhabited since pre-nuragic times; in the Middle Ages it was part of the Parte Ippis district of the Giudicato of Cagliari. On the border with Villacidro lies the nuragic site of Matzanni, with three well temples in a natural setting of rare beauty among woods and springs. The village keeps Campidano courtyard houses, and its fields grow olives, citrus and cereals. Acquafredda castle at Siliqua is a few kilometres away.
