Decimoputzu is a Campidano farming village between Cagliari and the Cixerri, probably Roman in origin. In Byzantine times the area was densely settled with several Basilian monasteries, and in the Middle Ages it belonged to the Giudicato of Cagliari. The old centre keeps typical Campidano houses with courtyard and loggia, the lolla, and its main monument is the 16th-century Gothic-Aragonese parish church of Nostra Signora delle Grazie. The surrounding countryside is known for fruit and vegetables.
