Putifigari

Putifigari is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Sassari with about 757 inhabitants, 267 metres above sea level.

Putifigari is a small village between Alghero and Ittiri, in a landscape of woods and pastures, settled from the second half of the 16th century. Its territory holds the Monte Mutone and Pedru Murru rock-cut tombs. The village has the 18th-century parish church of Nostra Signora de S'Ena Frisca. In December Putifigari stages a living nativity set in a Sardinian village, with the characters speaking Sardinian, and in spring there are horse-riding events along the bridleways nearby.
