Osidda is a small Monte Acuto village on the border with the Nuoro area, at 650 metres, in an area rich in pre-nuragic and nuragic remains; an old tradition placed here the city of Ogrille, rival of Olbia. The most impressive monument is the giant menhir of San Paolo, a few kilometres from the village, near other menhirs and a large slab resembling an altar. The old centre keeps multi-storey bare-stone houses, the church of the Angelo and the Palazzo Delogu, built between the 18th and 19th centuries. The feast of the Angelo, the village patron, is held on 27 August.
