Lei is a small Marghine village at the foot of the range that separates it from the Goceano, between Silanus and Bolotana. Its territory has been inhabited without break since prehistory: in the Su Furrighesu rock-cut tomb a great quantity of axes, obsidian and bronzes was found in the 19th century, now in the Sanna Museum in Sassari. The countryside has many nuragic sites and views over the Tirso valley, and trails lead from the village into the Marghine forests.
