Esporlatu is a small Goceano village on a slope above the Tirso valley, founded in the Middle Ages in the Giudicato of Torres and long disputed between the Doria and the Arborea. The 13th-century parish church of San Gavino has a plaque beside its doorway that tradition says marks the grave of Adelasia of Torres, the last ruler of the Giudicato. Nearby stands Nuraghe Erismanzanu, imposing and almost intact, surrounded by the remains of a village. Santa Lucia on 13 December draws people from all over the Goceano.
