Ittireddu is a small Monte Acuto village near Ozieri, once called Ittiri Fustialvos to distinguish it from Ittiri. It grew from a Byzantine estate, and from that era survives the Greek-cross church of Santa Croce, dating to around the 9th century. The area is rich in rock-cut tombs, including the Monte Ruju necropolis near the village, and there is an archaeological and ethnographic museum. Also worth a visit are the parish church of Nostra Signora Intermontes and the 12th-century Romanesque church of San Giacomo.
