Gesico is a Trexenta village built over a nuragic settlement, later inhabited in Roman times and part of the Giudicato of Cagliari in the Middle Ages. Its streets are decorated with murals and sculptures by artists who gather here every year. The parish church of Santa Giusta keeps the façade and bell tower of its 12th-century Romanesque building, and outside the village stands another Romanesque church built before 1305. The area has about a dozen nuraghi, including a complex with a corridor proto-nuraghe and a later tower.
