Bottidda is a small Goceano village on a slope overlooking the Tirso valley. Long disputed between the Doria and the Arborea in the Middle Ages, it was merged into another municipality in 1928 amid local protests and later regained independence. The newer part of the village has tree-lined squares and murals by Sassari artists, and the parish church of the Madonna del Rosario was built in 1860 on the ruins of an older one. The area has over ten nuraghi and the Sa Corona giants' tomb.
