Burgos is a small Goceano village dominated by the castle named after the region: built in 1129 by Gonario of Torres on a rocky peak, it controlled the whole Tirso valley. The village grew at the foot of the fortress, which later passed to the Arborea and can be visited today, with views over Monte Rasu and the Goceano mountains. In the village is the 19th-century parish church of Sant'Antonio Abate; the area has several nuraghi and the Burgos forest with its horse stud.
