Donori is a Parteolla village between Cagliari and the Trexenta, founded in the Middle Ages in the Giudicato of Cagliari. Its well-preserved old centre has gateways opening onto stone houses with a loggia and large courtyard. At its heart stands the 15th-century Gothic-Catalan parish church of San Giorgio with its bell tower of the same period. The area has several nuraghi and Roman remains. Candlemas on 2 February brings a great procession, and in September there is a feast at the chapel of the Madonna della Difesa.
