Dolianova

Dolianova is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari with about 9,404 inhabitants, 212 metres above sea level.

Dolianova is a Parteolla town created in 1905 by merging two neighbouring villages, Sicci and San Pantaleo. Its key monument is the church of San Pantaleo, cathedral of the Dolia diocese until 1503, built in three phases in the 12th and 13th centuries in Romanesque and Gothic forms, with an early Christian font. The town lies amid vineyards and olive groves, producing wines such as Cannonau and Monica and prized olive oil. The patron, San Pantaleo, is celebrated in July with big folk shows.
