Serdiana

Serdiana is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari with about 2,620 inhabitants, 171 metres above sea level.

Serdiana is a Parteolla village a few kilometres from Cagliari, heir to a Roman settlement, now known mainly for its wineries and vineyards, among the most renowned on the island. The old centre keeps mud-brick courtyard houses with loggias and the parish church of San Salvatore. Just outside the village stands the 12th-century Romanesque church of Santa Maria di Sibiola, one of the finest in southern Sardinia, with its arcades and pale limestone. The feast of the patron San Salvatore is held on the second Sunday of May, and that of Santa Maria di Sibiola on 8 September.
