Tramatza is a small village in the Campidano di Milis, early medieval in origin in the Giudicato of Arborea, in an area with a few nuraghi and Punic and Roman tombs. The village keeps some mud-brick houses with courtyards and loggias and the church of San Saturnino. The feast of Sant'Antonio Abate, dating from the early 18th century, begins on 14 January with wood being gathered on decorated carts, each flying its pandera, an old kerchief tied to a cane, and ends with the great bonfire.
