Bauladu is a small village between the Campidano di Milis and the Paulilatino plateau, founded in the Middle Ages around the estates of the great abbey of Santa Maria di Bonarcado. Its territory is one of the richest in nuraghi in the area, with almost twenty.
The main monument is the 12th-century Romanesque church of San Gregorio Magno, once dependent on Bonarcado with a hospice for Benedictines and the parish church since 1792. In late June, for Saint John the Baptist, the village holds its mutton festival, offering everyone the traditional boiled mutton.
