Riola Sardo is an Oristano Campidano village on the edge of the Sinis, medieval in origin in the Giudicato of Arborea, in an area with many nuraghi; it took its current name in 1933. The centre keeps some old mud-brick houses and the 17th-century parish church of Sant'Anna, the patron saint, celebrated from 24 to 26 July. From here the Sinis beaches, from Is Arutas to Mari Ermi, and the Cabras lagoon are minutes away.
