Muros is a small Logudoro village a few kilometres from Sassari, founded in the Middle Ages and passed to the Malaspina in the 12th century; it was part of Cargeghe until 1950. Its territory holds the pre-nuragic village of Sa Turricola, from the early Bonnanaro culture. The parish church of the martyrs Gavino, Proto and Gianuario is rustic in style with a spired bell tower, and in October the three-day feast of these Porto Torres martyrs brings processions, songs and folk shows.
