Lodè

Lodè is a municipality in the Province of Nuoro with about 1,894 inhabitants, 345 metres above sea level.

Lodè is a village at the foot of Monte Albo, the white limestone massif that dominates the Baronia, with the hamlet of Sant'Anna. Its old centre has kept a medieval layout of narrow lanes and multi-storey stone houses around the 17th-century parish church of Sant'Antonio. The area has rock-cut tombs and nuraghi, the most imposing being Sas Melas, perfectly preserved on two floors at the Minori ford. Monte Albo's cliffs offer trails and views as far as the sea at Siniscola.
