Soleminis is a Parteolla village a few kilometres from Cagliari, early medieval in origin in the Giudicato of Cagliari, in an area inhabited since pre-nuragic times. At Tanchixeddas a single-tower nuraghe and a village of huts have been excavated. The village has the 17th-century late Gothic parish church of San Giacomo and Casa Corda Spada, a 19th-century mansion with period furnishings. On 16 and 17 January the feast of Sant'Antonio features a night procession with the saint's statue adorned with oranges, followed by the bonfire in the square.
