Sant'Antonio di Gallura

Sant'Antonio di Gallura is a municipality in the Province of Gallura North-East Sardinia with about 1,619 inhabitants, 355 metres above sea level.

Sant'Antonio di Gallura is an inland Gallura village between Arzachena and Luras, founded in recent times around a country chapel that was the meeting place for families from the stazzi farmsteads. It has grown in recent decades with the nearby Costa Smeralda and the granite industry. The village stands near Lake Liscia, a large reservoir among granite hills. Nearby are the ruins of the 12th-century Romanesque church of Sant'Andrea, the country church of Sant'Elena e San Costantino and a few nuraghi. On the first Sunday of May the feast of San Giacomo at the country chapel ends with a great meal of broth and boiled beef.
